A gather of molten glass is placed inside a cold steel mold, this causes the mold to warm up. Then the glass blower gathers a molten glass piece on the end of a blow pipe. After that, the glass blower goes to the mold and blows the melted glass that is called a parison, into the warm mold forming a bottle shape resulting in a complete bottle.
